it gets so hard to breath sometimes
things have been closing in
the horizon doesn't seem so far
anymore I don't even have to squint
to find my boundaries but

are somewhere on the other side

that water that was so dark

so agitated
it was just like when we used to dance
in storms that covered the earth for miles

under trees and stars
and each other
weighing down with all we had
